LX470 Hub Caps Keep Disappearing!

I bought a 2nd LX470 with slightly less miles recently. It came with a missing hub cap. I bought an OEM one off of eBay. About a week later, the same hub cap was gone!

Has anyone had any similar issues? I'm wondering if I should place a few beads of caulking on there along with the retaining clip to keep the next one from wandering off.

Wrap around the outside of the hub cap tabs 2-3 times with electrical tape. That stopped my hub cap rattle/looseness.

I occasionally have a rattling one and will just stretch the spring out to maintain better pressure with the wheel.
Electrical tape seems like a good idea as well.
