Lx470 height adj question

i am looking to buy a 470 from afar. On asking about the height adj the seller, ford dealer, said it blinks and a Lexus dealer told him the computer needs to be reset.

Can someone educate me on what the issues are with the height adjustment system and does the above make any sense?

Sounds like 4 Pinocchios to me...

Something like the VGRS light blinks after loss of battery power, and will go off on its own after a short time.

The AHC light blinking usually means there's something wrong, causing it not to work properly. A "computer reset" is unlikely to resolve the issue, but might make the light go out long enough to sell the vehicle to some poor sap.

If the Ford dealer wasn't offering a substantial discount, or willing to cover the cost of this "cheap and easy repair" prior to sale, I'd be walking.

There are a number of threads on troubleshooting AHC, but you'll probably need more info to make any progress in troubleshooting this issue.

Which light is blinking? If it's the green indicator on the dash that shows H-N-L, if the height is adjusted but the doors aren't closed, it'll just keep blinking.

^^^^What he said. Tell dealer to make sure all doors and tailgate/rear hatch are closed and engine is on. Mine will blink and not function if any doors are left ajar. Once they are closed it should function as desired.
