So, as the title states. I checked the site to see how to disable DRL's.

Found out about cutting the wire for 3A. Instead of cutting, I pulled the whole wire out of the socket incase I needed to re-install at a later point. I start the car, expecting to no longer see the orange glow, but yet it is still there?? I check the diagram again to make sure I disconnected the right one. Yep, right one. Start the car again and the light is still there...

What am I missing? Do I need to disconnect something else?

DRL?
Where does that stand for?

We don't have it as a standard on our LX470.

There's a resistor box in the engine bay that drives the DRL's. It's at the left side of the engine bay, rearward of the air filter box, and next to the power steering fluid reservoir. It's a grey colored thing, in a black metal cage.

Unplug that and it will disable your DRL's. No need to cut any wires.

Thats what I did before the 3A disabling. But, then it leaves my high beam indicator on.

Not all 100s have that factory FYI. It was a recall that ended up installing those. Apparently the DRLs were too bright before the additional resistor. Anyways dealerships gave people the option to install it or not.

x2 ...as I found out the right way (resistor existed on mine, even though the wiring diagram indicated otherwise...)
