I put the car up on ramps and removed what I am fairly confident is the correct switch as there is two in the approximate location. It has a detent ball end and a two wire connector (or are there two the same?) the unit moved freely so I cleaned up the connector with contact cleaner and still no dash lights. So I don't blow my diff can someone confirm that when locked and used on a paved surface with a tight turn it feels really heavy and wants to pull the suspension down along with squealing tyres. Should I just replace the switch as matter of elimination or can I use a multimeter and establish if its still ok? It doesnt help that I am really crap at electrical problems
Further to my previous post....it appears that both switches I could see look exactly the same so I removed the one that is vertical and the detent ball was a bit dirty and also inside the terminal housing there appeared to be oil (which the other switch didn't have) would it be correct to assume that if its inside the plug it has come from inside the case through the switch? The car is very clean underneath with nothing resembling that oil colour.
the pic shows upper left being almost vertical. I had already removed the other one pic is taken facing front of car (passenger side RHD)
