Anybody have any tips/tricks for removing the Prinsu rack off a 200 series? Just picked up an LX470 as my daily and my wife is taking over the 570 and prefers to have the factory rack back on. I assume it's just the reverse of installation, taking turns loosening each bolt a little at a time.

Wasn't sure if I'd run into any problems loosening the roof bolts now that they have a bead of sealant around them. Would spraying them with a penetrant like PB Blaster be helpful?

Just be careful or you’ll be dropping the headliner to replace the backing plate/nuts.

So yes, back the bolts out a little at a time alternating between the two.

Go slow, about a single turn per bolt head at a time before switching to the other bolt. Existing sealant shouldn't make much/any difference.

FYI - ordered some replacement hardware from Prinsu to swap out the front faring on my rack and they include vibra-tite with the bolts. Explains why I snapped two after penetrating spray...

Thanks all! Finally got around to removing the rack yesterday. It came off pretty easy with no issues. Just took my time removing the bolts 1/4 turn at a time alternating back and forth. It was slow but effective. No penetrant needed
