So I am having some electrical gremlins on my 2010 LX 570. First gremlin was the door panel window switch. Driver door only rolls down the driver side window and does not engage auto function. (I have not taken the panel off to check yet) the weirder thing is that the truck will not power completely off. When I turn it off the head unit stays on and the key fob will not lock the door l. No matter how long I leave it, the truck will not power off. Any ideas??

Whenever the term electrical gremlins is used, I automatically think of water damage to connectors. Have you looked for water/moisture in the door sills, in the A pillars and behind the dash? It’s really likely you have clogged sunroof drains or a leaky windshield or cowl that caused corrosion in connectors. There are lots of threads on here about that, so run a search for water damage and start looking for bad connections.

Access to connectors to inspect for water and/or damage to connector pins:

Ah excellent, thank you for the lead. It makes sense I started going to a new car wash pretty high power and it took a trim piece off my roof the other day. I got the panels off and hit all the connectors with some air. Gonna leave the battery off and panels open over night. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Was there water in the area?

Yeah there was! The drying seemed to do the trick! I need to either replace the rubber pierce or seal up the entry with some silicone.

It's most likely clogged sunroof drains. You can get a tool to clean them out cheaply on your favorite mass online stuff retailer.

For the record that gasket will always leak to some extent, it just can't be water-tight and let the sunroof panel move in the way it needs to. The drip tray under it is intended to catch the stuff that gets through, but for that to work the water needs to be able to drain away. Pollen and dirt get through as well, take up residence in the drains, etc.

I have purchased the gasket just in case.

So I was looking at my sunroof on a painters ladder and my 57 year old eyes cant find drain holes. I watched the 460 youtube video that shows the cleanout. I can not find a video or tutorial on the 570. I have been know to be grey matter challenged. Any tips on cleaning my drains is appreciated

I’m not near my truck to get a picture for you, maybe someone else can help out.
