I'm talking about these "ribs"

2 "sides", and one "cap" on top of the 2 "sides" makes one "rib".

Anyone?

Really wouldn't mind if someone told me I was FOS and to stop being so anal.

Just wondering about folks opinions.

Cheers

It would be great if all those that bought the panels could post up their work as I'm sure there will be some differences in workmanship and problem solving !
I would have thought that the bed floor was 16ga ? ( 1/16th ) 14ga puts it close to 1/8. all your under bed support chanels and 'Z' braces are 16ga and 14ga as far as I recall. I am in the same position in that the rear bed and 1/4 panels at this point for me needs to be replaced.
''KT40's reply RB1 Project'' Great work I really like the tubing under bed instead of channels and 'Z' channels.

You are exactly correct 16 ga is a much closer match to the original floor ga. My bed supports and z chanels are 14 ga. I do not have the flat layouts for the 1/4 panels.

Here are photos. 1) Of original bed ga, 2) New zbrace 14ga, 3) the new bed 16ga.
The closest match to the old bed ga is new 16ga hands down. Plus if you want to tool the end caps to get a more "rounded" look new 14ga would be very difficult to work with and you would end up perhaps more angular than mine.
