Hey Guys

Anyone else having this problem?

This has happened to me on 3 seperate occasions and is now preventing me from being able to drive my rig and feel comfortable, i am constantly worrying about my nuts! :D

I am super anal on my maintence and torque specs and such, and everytime i remove the wheel, i make sure it is torqued perfectly.

My rig probably sees MUCH more abuse and washboards roads then most, and i am thinking that this is the cause, but what would be the fix?

Any idea what may be causing this? Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks

you are up too early for the week (months) that you have had. Go back to sleep! I seriously have nothing tech to contribute. But good luck.

Is this the same wheel that you replaced the bolts for the lug nuts on? Could that be an issue? Asking a stupid question, but food for thought?

The only thing I could think of is the replaced wheel studs settling in but that wouldn't account for more than one time or maybe the lug nuts Dave mentioned. I am stumped otherwise.

Kevin:

The only I can think of, “Are you using the right lug nuts for your wheels?”. I believe the 93 & 94 have steel inserts and need the cone or acorn style lug nuts. 95-97 wheels do not have the steel inserts and use a washer or shank style lug nut. If you have a mismatched set of wheels (some 93-94 and some 95-97) and are using the same lugs on all of your wheels this could be your problem. Using the wrong lug nuts on a wheel will cause it to back off due to the fact it never seats properly.
