I have a 2wd Tacoma with a LSD rear end.
I've had lockers in my past two Land Cruisers.
Whats the difference between Lockers & LSD?
Do they make a locker for a 2wd Tacoma?
Thanks

A locked rear end ensures an even, 50/50 split of power to each wheel. An LSD rear end manages wheel slippage at a certain level, but there is still a disproportionate amount of torque to the slipping wheel. That's the one sentence explanation of each.....

Yes - some Prerunner's have an e-locked rear end.

Sorry I meant to ask does anyone else make a after market locker for the Tacoma?

ARB. LockRite, Detroit, etc. all make lockers for your rear axle. But, the cool thing would be to swap in the OEM e-locker!:grinpimp:

I think the LSD has clutches that wear out too, IIRC, which makes them somewhat less desirable than a locker for that reason.
