Where can we get the tightest bend in 2 1/2" exhaust pipe? The one weak spot on my daughters FJ55/3B failed yesterday. The exhaust was installed while I wasn't there and they put a mitred elbow right after the turbo. The weld on the mitred elbow broke yesterday and I want her to have a formed pipe NOT a welded pipe at least to the bottom of the chassis.
Like with all 3B turbos that first bend is a tight one. I had a formed pipe with the AXT kit on my BJ60 so I didn't need to worry about it.
She'll have it fixed today so a prompt response is appreciated. Unfortunately I'm a little far away to help much here in Guatemala!!

I have a great guy for exhaust if shes still looking. He is in Port Kells and did my exhaust after i added my turbo. There number is 604 888 1332. Ask for Dan

Cory at K&M Auto has always been good to me for exhaust work. 604-850-3812.

Super 70 also posted about an Andy from Performance Engineering in New West who has put turbos on 3B's. He will have had to deal with this and may be the best contact. Dunno...but post up if you do, and what the results are.

i don't know how far south you are willing to go but there is a great place in Bend OR called Custom Exhaust Specialties. They have a Mandrel bender and do AMAZING work. Check them out on line.

Howdy,

Yeah, Andy Pearson at Specialty Engineering inc. in New West would do a great job on this. Basically a custom downpipe from the turbo.... then any exhaust shop can run something off that. His number is 604-521-9232.

#67 Blackie St. New Westminster, BC.

Good luck.

I talked to my daughter today. She says that she has a shop that has decided to order in a mandrel bend. The work is to be done tomorrow afternoon. I said that she should ensure that any work results in a pipe without welds from the turbo to the underside of the truck.

All fixed with a mandrel bend and a few more hangers/supports. Jespersons was the place.
