I thought I would copy UC and get us a chat thread, also.
If you have anything of interest, post it up.

Duh boy we are a talkative lot. Bump

Had a deer in the back ,near the old boat, this morning when I pulled in from work. Have seen several in the swamp just across the field but this old girl was right in the yard nibbling on some blueberry bushes.

Did ya choot it!LOL!

Naw! good looking doe however, hope she hangs arround but I doubt that she will. What with me blasting away at targets every few days and all the dogs in pens next door. Still was nice to see her in the yard. :)

My brother had a deer in his back year in Cainhoy for years...every year she would bring her young ones to eat. He kept food out for her all the time. He named her "Pretty Girl".
She would come up in the yard while he was there asking for more food.
He could get real close to her, but never touch her.

I had a client when I was in vet practice that had a three legged buck as a pet. It was so tame you could pet it, most of the time. In Tenn at that time it was illegal to keep a "pet" deer but he did anyway, he would bring it by the office for worming etc when he brought his horses. To try to fool people he called it his doat, sad ending however when it was old enough it grew a really nice set of antlers (6 points) and someone shot it in his yard. He was devistated the blood from the shooting was only 15 feet off his back porch.

I agree, that's a real shame. But, I'm not a hunter, either.

Hope to hear from Frenchy soon.

It would be good to see and smell the french fry burner again. Hopefully soon.;)

I worked on the Jeep a little this morning...I got the hand throttle installed that I bought about 2 years ago.
Installed new(er) shock bushings(they were old and fell out)
I got my 55 watt back up lights workinng again.
There's still some stuff to do, but for now, I'll wheel it and see how it does.

Met a guy ( Ed) on the old navy base this morning. Has a nice looking tan 60. Had a lowcountry sticker in the windows from the P o. Gave him a flyer. He is looking to fix it up and use it as a daily driver . Looks to be in pretty good shape. We'll. Probably see him on here before too long. Seemed interested in getting involved with some like minded cruiser fans.

Talkative bunch

Well no new post's from November we really are a talkative bunch. Hello out there is any body listening. :p

I got ya Doc.
I scored some free tickets to see Elton John at the collaseum tonight. He does put on a good show.
The girl who gave me the tickets got second row right in front of him. She managed to get her birthday card signed and got a happy 40th birthday from Elton. She was pretty excited.

That old and sexual status questionable dude does put on one heck of a show. I have had the opportunity to see him live a couple of times and never regretted it at all.

But the best stage performance of all, in all my years of concerts from the 60's to now was Credance(dang I wish i could spell) Clearwater Revival, they rocked like no one else. Don't know why but live they were awesome, Heck I've been back stage with the Almond Bros Band and Wet Willie but nobody put on a show like CCR.

What about it UC and LC who was the best live performance you attended?

Another Chat subject

I am working in Western North Carolina this week and have stumbled on a great little bistro. And guess what it's name is LOWCOUNTRY.

The owner is from Kingstree SC and Charleston area, and the food is great on 221 in Marion NC just west of Morganton and well before Ashville about a mile and one half off I-40. I kid you not the rate was good, the food out of this world good. I had four sides and flounder for the main course and not a dish disapointed. I can't remember any place were everything was great. I recommend it highly. What about it UC, LC and lurkers: whats the best food joint you've found by accident?:)

Tried the lowcountry agian tonigh, and again everything was wonderful, talked at length with mike the owner and he is expermental in his dish's so what's good one night may not be available the next. Oh the eye candy was wonderful with joggers in tight thigh length biker shorts running up the sidewalk. And the crowd started about 8 as I was leaving to go to work some really nice lookers showed up. Hated to go but duty called. Great food and view's to die for, could be Heaven. :p

Back to the concerts, I really enjoyed Van Halen when they toured again a few years back. David Lee Roth is such a showman. Lots of energy, and all over the stage. And the costumes...
That's one thing that suprised me about Elton...no costumes changes, He had on a black sequined tux with tails, and a blue (bright) satin shirt.
