Rental Prices (Up to 3 Hours)
Single Kayaks - $25
Tandem Kayaks (2 person) - $35
Canoes - $35 for 2 people or $40 for 3 people
Fishing Kayaks - $30
Boats are available for $5 per Hour after regular rental rates
Stand Up Paddleboards - $20 for 2 hours
$5 each additional hour for One person
Multiple persons add $5 per person for switch outs.
Ages 13 and up for paddling SUP's solo.

Also : Inside the State Park there are 3 hiking trails each around a mile long that take you to see alligator swamps, limestone sinkholes, and beautiful old pine trees. There is also a 7.5 mile loop trail for a long hike or mountain biking. The park also has a small beach for swimming and a fishing pier. They offer 30 waterfront cabins or 2 beautiful campgrounds if you would like to stay a couple days. Visit their website for more information.

I plan to leave from Summerville / Wescott at 4PM on Friday, when Gunner gets out of school. I doubt I can leave any earlier.

I'm planning on joining. Should be me + 2 kiddos so put me down as one for eating. I'll bring food for my kids. Melissa and our littlest might make it up for a little while on Saturday but don't need to count her for food. I also ran into @southerncruiser62 last week and it sounded like he's trying to join. I'll ping him again now to confirm. I can bring paddleboards or a 'yak - what's better?

I've thought about bringing the Scout but it looks like that side of the lake is smaller, can you get under the bridge to the other side? Still don't have a 5 way wiring harness installed on the FJ but could do that this week, I've heard about a lot of stumps in the water though anyone boated out there?....thoughts? Worth bringing up there?

Never been on the lake but if it's nice id be happy to bring it up if there is enough interest. The campsite is right around the corner from the landing isn't it?

Since they rent boats there, I would call and ask them. They're just as vested in not having their boats hit a stump.

there are stumps around there, but mostly closer to shore, We are camping right next to a boat ramp, not sure how deep it is right there, though. I know it drops off quick at the camping area.
There are more than stumps, they dammed the area and flooded houses, graveyards, railroad tracks, etc.
would be an interesting dive.
I'll check the water level tomorrow.
With the recent rain, I couldn't imagine it being low.

What time is breakfast? We will try to get up there in time.

Let's hope the weather holds out, I have a canopy that I will bring. Not sure what kind of room there is for them though.

I don't mind a little rain, as long as it isn't a sustained downpour that sets in. I agree, the wx usually breaks and it's enjoyable. What do you mean rescheduling isn't an option?

they are calling for 4-8 inches of rain this weekend, I can camp in the rain, but it's no fun for kids.

No top on the -40... 45 mile drive to Santee...100% chance of rain Sat....not a good combo. *plus Momma is already fussing at me...

I'll gladly pay my portion for any monies already spent for the boil - but I suggest we cancel (or resched for an unknown date) the camping trip & boil and maybe plan a local group lunch instead. Somewhere indoors.
