Figured I would share my cheap method for adding Bluetooth to my '09 LX which sadly was not included from the factory. I don't like to see cables running everywhere and I didn't want to drop a bunch of money into a Vaistech or tear into my dash, so I tried a few different options before coming across this one. First thing you'll need is this $5 audio cable or one like it with the 90 degree bend. It's super flat and thin which helps hide it.

Next, you'll need a $14 Bluetooth adapter like this one:

Now to hide the cable, just plug the 90 degree bend into the aux port and run the wire out the corner to the edge of the metal trim plate, and start wedging it between the wood and shifter trim. You can close the cover door for the aux port since the cable is so thin.
continue running it around towards the driver's side using a small screwdriver or pry tool to wedge it down just enough to hold it tight all the way around by the hand brake.
Once you get it all tucked in, hook up the adapter and it should sit right by the hand brake like this:
The power button and volume controls are easy to reach - normally I just turn it on when I get in and then push it down out of the way into the leather between the handle and center console.
Here's what it looks like from the driver's side:
So that's it - no removing the dash to install a Vaistech and no messy cables running around everything. And it will only set you back about 20 bucks. I'm surprised how good this setup sounds streaming from my phone. It's nice to be able to put my phone in the cup holder and just tell Siri to play my tunes or get me directions or whatever without having to touch anything or even look at the phone.
