1996 LX450 NOT Triple Locked with 215,xxx miles
VIN: JT6HJ88J0T0132439
Vehicle had ALOT of maintenance/repairs done the past couple years. All work was done by myself, a Senior Lexus Technician and an automotive enthusiast. Its been for sale for the past couple years but due to my commitment issues, I've been back and forth on the sale. But now things are different and I planned on moving soon so its time to get rid of one of the toys.
There are no oil/fluid leaks. If you're familiar with these vehicles then you know how much work and $$$ it takes to do it right. All parts were toyota oem parts unless specified. I have receipts of all the oem parts that was purchased through my dealer/work. She now runs like a dream. Engine is amazingly smooth and quiet. Transmission shifts smooth. A/c blows really cold.
Replaced the oil pump cover gasket. Also replaced the front crank seal.
Rebuilt front knuckles/seals. Repacked bearings. Had to replaced the upper/lower trunnion bearings due to wear. Had replace both inner shafts due to o-ring wearing a groove in axles. I also replaced the front brake rotors and pads while I had the knuckles out.
Replaced radiator with Koyo unit along with oem hoses. Replaced fan clutch with Aisin(OE man.) unit.
Rebuilt power steering pump and replaced p/s hoses.
Replaced distributor o-ring, cap, rotor, and spark plug wire set.
Replaced air filter, new toyota wiper blades(f&r) so you can purchase refills from toyota/lexus
Replaced PHH and other heater hoses. Also replaced heater valve. I used samco silicon hose and stainless constant torque clamps for the hard to reach one under the intake manifold. Other heater hoses I used gates premium hoses.
I installed extended length brake line hoses from various toyotas. Bled the system in the process.
Installed front LH/RH window runs/gaskets due to glass sticking.
Recent work in the past few months (Late 2017/Early 2018):
Rear brakes
Battery
Recovered front seats
Rubber intake tube
Exhaust insulators
Known issues:
Antenna mast inoperable, radio signal is fine.
Radio backlight comes in and out.
Passenger front seat doesn't not move forward/backwards. Replacement gear broke when installing. I have another replacement gear but haven't installed it.
It was lifted with OME 4" comp springs(ready for front armor/winch) in front and OME J's in rear. Man-a-fre control arm drop brackets to correct caster. With the lift I had to add the double cardone front driveshaft from Tattons Driveshafts. With the larger angles the joints must be lubed frequently. Also replaced the oe steering dampener with an OME unit. It helps keeps the 35s Toyo OC M/T tamed. The actual size are 315/75/16. They still have a lot of tread left(aprox 70%). They are mounted on 16x8 aluminum wheel by StealthCustomSeries. They are light and strong. The spare rim is also matching. The tire is a 35" Toyo OC A/T(zero miles). I planned on switching to an A/T after the M/T worn down.
Aside from the mentioned issues, this rig is mechanically sound. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Matter of fact, I will drive it up to 500 miles to meet if the fuel for the round trip is prepaid. This is non-refundable and keep in mind she only gets maybe 12mpg...
I am asking 10,000. I am not interested in any trades.
Vehicle is located in New Orleans, LA.
I have a Slee rear bumper/tire carrier(needs to be painted or powder coated) and Lokka rear locker that can be included at an additional cost.
The rest of the photos can be seen in my album with the link shown below.
