99 Toyota Land cruiser 100 USA version, customer lost the only key they had. Found some really old thread, post #12 stating Toyota will pay for a new ECM to program. Is this still available today?

Another option might be using a local (mobile) locksmith. It probably won’t be “cheap”, but probably cheaper than buying an ECU from the dealer.

Got some more information, customer had a locksmith come to his house, locksmith pulled the ECM took it with them and brought it back. When looking at Data stream there are no keys assigned, I'm assuming they replaced the eProm. Don't know why but they had pulled a bunch of fuses, some were burnt. Fuses have been checked and replaced. Thinking the locksmith they used didn't know about the missing and burnt fuses. Initially we had no communication and after replacing the fuses we have communication.
