Selling my used RLC rear bumper with dual swingouts (tire carrier + triple jerry can holder). I originally bought this mainly to just use as a rear bumper without swingouts but plans have changed and upgraded to a Dissent.

I installed the rear bumper without swingouts on April 2022 and it has been rock solid. I have not had any issues with it. Been to trails in Moab and Ouray and it never has shifted or moved at all. I bought the swingouts since it wasn't that much more but never used them. I did install them to try out and there's an issue with the PS swingout hole for the pin that keeps it open. The location need to be moved or else the lower tailgate won't open. Or one possible solution is to fab up shocks to keep the swingouts open vs the pin. Bumper was spray painted with primer and then bed coating spray.

Bumper works fine with the LX570 and AHC. You can see in the pics how the wing bracket is mounted. And will work for LC 200-series as well.

Below is a picture of the bumper right before I removed it. Here's a link to the album of pics: The bumper is in used but good condition. No bends, dents, bends, etc. Could use a fresh paint. I did drill a hole to mount my trailer plug.

The album includes pics of each step of removal so you should be able to just use the pics for installation. I have bagged/labeled all the bolts and brackets to make it pretty straightforward. I replaced all the RLC bolts with zinc plated ones from McMaster. Will include all the RLC hardware as well which includes extra bearings and dust caps for the spindles.

Mud thread with user feedback/input on the RLC: RLC rear tire carrier / swing out / jerry can / custom fab bumper - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/rlc-rear-tire-carrier-swing-out-jerry-can-custom-fab-bumper.871580/

I paid $2,395 shipped. Currently it would be ~$2,545 shipped for the same setup (it was extra for the 2nd swingout). Looking to get $700 but OBO. I'm located in Monrovia, CA 91016 and wouldn't consider shipping at this time. So local pick-up only.

None of the images seem to work. That just on my end?
I attached all the pictures to the thread. So should be able to see now. I thought the imgur album would work for everyone. Feel free to PM me for any questions!

open to ship ? virginia
Not sure how to ship something this big… the bumper is wide (width of the 200) so it’s not even a standard pallet size.

you need to build a box and seat the bumper upright. build the box on top of a pallet, once you have that give me the weight and dimension I will get it pick up by a truck company

It looks like I'll need an extended pallet. Rough measurements of the bumper are 3'x7'. I'll give it a week or two, if I can't sell it locally will PM you. Thanks!

Price drop and bump! Want to get rid of this since its taking up space. If you're local PM me and come check it out!

TJ, what about it pushed you to replace it with Dissent?
The original intent when I purchased the RLC was to just run the bumper with no swingouts which I did and keep the spare (34s) underneath. My previous 80 had dual 4x4labs swingouts and it does add steps just to get into the back. So I was happy with the RLC usage in this regard. I had no issues with the RLC and it worked great.

But now I've decided I want to go 37s which wouldn't fit underneath. I believe some others have upgraded spindles, latches, etc on the RLC. I don't weld so didn't really want to out source it and decided to just go with a Dissent that has some of the nicer features related to swing outs. Gas struts, easier latching system, Dissent is a little lighter, I have multiple trays for the Dissent swing arm (flat and 3x jerry can holder).

This is similar to my wheels. I have +5 offset right now with my 34s but have already purchased another set of wheels that are +25 offset to make it easier to fit the 37s.

TLDR... my build goals moved so I changed parts out.

And I see you have a e46! I just picked up a manual 2002 325it.

Bump and price drop. It's taking up space and would like to get rid of it already!
