looking for wiring diagram and stereo installation guide

Hi everyone,

This is my first post. I wanted to know if anyone knew where I might be able to find a wiring diagram from the ECU to the gauge cluster, and if there was a dash removal guide for stereo installation anywhere for a 2001 LC. Thanks for your help.

I can help with the dash removal, if your talking about the bezel around the stereo and climate controls. To remove it, you simply have to get a screw driver between the bezel plastic (wood triim) and and the dash, start prying a little at a time all the way around. It's held in place with clips, no screws. Just do it slowly so you don't crack anything. The whole assembly will drop down leaving the radio in place. You can then take out the 4 screws holding the stereo and that too will come out.

Stereo wiring harness

If you're going to install an after market stereo, you should know that you'll probably need a Lexus 470 wiring harness. My installer couldn't find one specifically for the LC. Mine is a '98. Yours, of course, could be different.

awww damn....I had to get it rewired...I guess that would have saved me a pretty penny. Oh wells. At least it's all in and working now.

Hi, I'm replacing my stereo system in my 2000 LC and am looking for a stereo wiring diagram as well.

Are there any places online? Can anyone help me out?

Also, where would I pick up the stereo wire harness for a Lexus LX470? I bought a Scosche TA021 harness labeled for 98-2004 LC but it didn't work.
