Looking for Update on Tucson Cruiser Shop Recommends

I've searched and not found anything very current on this subject. I'm finding that my FJ62 is outlasting the techs who were really experienced with them. The dealers seem to only be able to do the basics, but ask them to do something like check the valves, and they run for cover.

What's the latest news on shops in town that still have "it" ? Or is a road trip to Silver City in my future?

I've had a lot of luck on basic things from John at Tucson Auto Center, Ft Lowell and Miracle Mile (south side, tan building). He certainly can do emissions work, valves, etc. and the price is right.

Not a cruiserhead, but just sound old school mechanic.
