Looking for something to do 4/5 or 4/6

Wife wants a ~6 hour excursion with a couple of those hours outside of the truck. She'd like to see desert in bloom or forest or somesuch. Maybe a ghost town or some other area of interest. She doesn't want to be required to get up early. Any suggestions or interest?

EDIT- Saturday is now not an option, has to be Sunday 4/6. Tools ole' buddy, can I get an edit on the title?

Howdy! Have you ever run out to the Constellation Mine Rd on the NE side of Wickenburg? If not, then check it out. Easy drive, not really any wheeling on the main road as it is a ranch road, but there are lots of turn outs, and lots of mines to walk around/thru, and great photo ops out there. John
