Hello all. I sold my '99 100 series back in 2008ish and have missed it ever since. I am looking to get another and have found one located in Portland, OR. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could take a look for me before I make the drive. The link: autotrader

In the pictures it does look like there was a small dog that rode with the driver which ended up scratching driver's side door panel. Other than that, it looks like a nice low mileage specimen.

That one looks fantastic, particularly given the age. If you can't find someone locally to look at it, I had a good experience recently using carchex.com for PPI, cost is about $140 and you can give the inspector a list of specific things to look for.

Nice truck.

IMO, letting a dog ride along gives me a positive feeling about the owner. Backside of that is that pheasant blood on the rear rug is a real biatch to clean, after you and your best friend spend a day in the fields. :bang:

Looks really clean. GLWP.

Thanks for the suggestion Toyo72. I will look into that.

hankinid, I have a dog myself so I can't say too much.

I agree SmoothLC. I wish the interior was beige but I can definitely settle for the condition of this one.

I'm not sure when I could make it to N Portland with my schedule lately, but I do have some info on the dealership. M & M is a wholesale only lot. They get their cars from auctions, clean them up, and put them for sale. That being said, I have yet to hear a bad thing about M & M. I would guess that this one was a trade-in due to having OR plates and this isn't something you usually see on their lot. (I was considering a Porsche 911 they had a couple years ago.) I know there are people on 'Mud that are closer than me, but I will keep an eye on my schedule. If I can run up there for you, I will let you know!

Also, @Red Sox Cruiser may have more info on M & M. He still works in the auto industry here in Portland.

CreeperSleeper, thanks for the info. If you could make it, that would be great and if not, I definitely understand the busy schedule thing. I'm up North of Seattle and would have been down already if it weren't for being busy!

I will send Red Sox Cruiser a message.

That is a nice looking example. Sans the gold plating and "bull bar", but that might just be me. While the buy in is kinda high, having apparently the 90k being already performed should hopefully mean little to any reconditioning.

Thanks CreeperSleeper. If you can't, no worries. At this point, I am planning on making a trip to Portland for some home brewing equipment on Monday. It gives me an excuse to be down there and I will be willing to trade my &**% (Jeep) if it checks out. I was just looking for someone to look at it before any commitment.

I'm also not a fan of the "bull bar" and gold stuff. An ARB front, Slee rear, Slee sliders and 2-1/2" lift would be the immediate additions. I would also address the gold, add a rack, and put a snorkel on it. The mod list is endless as I'm sure everyone else's is, but those are the first priorities.

Just saw your thread. Sorry you missed out on this candidate. I visited M&M several times during my 100 search. The sales guys are pretty low pressure and were cool about me borrowing one over night so my wife could weigh in on the purchase. They are pretty good about doing the timing belt if it hasn't been done before and their 'front-lining' detail work leaves the cars in nice cosmetic shape. I would buy from them, but they didn't have a cruiser that met both my condition expectations and price point.

If you see another Cruiser in the Portland area, feel free to PM me. I'm busy, but can often find an hour to run an errand here and there. Good luck.
