I have been looking around for a new set of wheels and tires for my BJ74. THe old ones are ate up and there is only 4 of them.
I have been looking at the below wheels as they fall into or are close to the specs, as far as I am aware. I also installed a 3" lift. Going to put 33" tires on as well

I am overseas and the internet is spotty at best. I am open to suggestions of other wheels that are readily available online. WIth similiar wheel design. I do not wonat to run 15" wheels as they come to close to the tie-rod boots. Thank you

The second tupe you listed seem identical to those on mine. Fitted by PO.
I like the low gloss.

You could use Zj80 series 16" wheels with spacers. Or, OEM 16" steel wheels [42601-60262-03]. 15" wheels will fit though, as they were stock on many of these trucks. I really prefer stock, and dislike black wheels, so my top picks would be either the 15" stock white spokes, or the stock "4Runner" 15" alloy wheels pictured below. For me, I think the choice would depend on the color of the truck.

I love those 4 runner wheels! What back spacing is required?

Can't remember for sure and wouldn't want to guess, so maybe PM MUD member 1978HJ45, as he has them on the truck pictured below. I know they where OEM equipment.
Those steelies look great. I think they're the same as the part # I posted.

Two options I have used:

Tacoma spare wheel takeoffs in 7 x16", will need spacers. You can also use FJ Cruiser wheels of same style in 17" - $50 used or new from Toyota for $100+

Also, Prado wheels in 7 x 16" with correct BS - kind of scarce

THe steelies are nice but they are only 7-7.5" ( Not really looking for tall and skiny) and they are $60 more per rim then some pro comps. Those 4 runners dont look bad either but I am more of a fan of the black steel or alloy wheels with the holes. I wish they still had the MT Clsssic II in the right backdpace.

The "correct" backspace is 3.5 inches. Any more than that and you will rub the inside of the rear tires on the inner wheelhousings.

OEM FZJ80 16x8 wheels, 1.5 inch Spidertrax spacers, 285/75/16 BFG KM2, 50mm OME suspension. Net 3.0 inches backspace. No rubbing.

With as much humility as possible I think this combination rocks.....

Your humility is noted, but how expensive are those wheely things? How much are the spacer dealy-bobs? Do they come in chrome? Can I get a discount? What's that thing behind your Jeep?

What's that thing behind your Jeep?

It's a Mickey-Mouse tent trailer from that same country you get yer Mickey-Mouse suspension stuff.......:rimshot:

Oh, "Jeep"?

:flipoff2:

Then it must be a good trailer. Now that I have a Mickey Mouse suspension kit/lift, I need to fill my wheel holes some more, soooooo:

Dan - I have two tech questions.......

1) If I were to secure a set of non-USA 8x16 steelies, what would they run (each), and

2) If I were to slam some KM2s on 'em would you stop picking on my tires?
