I don't know if there is a better place to post this question. If there is please feel free to suggest a different sub forum.
I am moving from Oakland, CA to Phoenix, AZ, on Friday and...my A/C compressor is squealing and catching and flat out not blowing cold. I found multiple threads on here about the same issue, but I do not have time to diagnose or fix even the simplest of possible issues. I am hoping there is a shop here in Oakland, where I can have some solid work done this week. I do not think the compressor is totally done (it might be), because just the belt itself looks like it could be the problem (looks kind of like it may be pretty worn out). I am pretty worried about having it fixed in time, especially since it is the week following the 4th. The idea of of an 11 hour drive into the middle of the desert without A/C...yea, don't think that is a healthy idea.
Does anyone have a recommendation for one or more shops here in the East Bay, who could tackle this for me? I used to go to A+ Japanese in San Carlos, when I lived in SF, but it is quite a ways away from my current location, and I am flat out on time this week getting ready to take off.
