I'm looking for a good FJ80, I live in San Antonio, TX. I would prefer a 95-97 but I'll consider anything 93+. Looking to spend 9k max if it has mods in place, probably 6k without mods as I want money left over to do any and all preventive maintenance, and lift and tire it.
I have the cash in hand and I'm a serious buyer, just looking for the right rig. If you want your vehicle to go to a good home, this is it. After buying a vehicle I usually spend a week straight going through it looking for any deficiencies and fixing them. Outside of internal engine work and trans rebuilds, I do all of my own maintenance and modding. I'm buying a LC because I've always wanted one, and I have much younger brothers who I'd like to take on mini expeditions. My parents aren't the camping type so I didn't get into it until I joined the Army national guard, and I'd like to get my brothers into it while they're still young and pre-facebook
I'm not opposed to buying something long distance and driving it home, but it would have to be worth the time, plane ticket, and gas money, and you'll need a lot of pics and verifiable service history or maybe someone from the forums that can go and check it out after we've talked and I'm seriously interested in it. I have done similar things with 2 of my previous cars and it worked out great, but I've also driven 5 hours and found the vehicle to be not as described, so I'd like to avoid that.
