I just took my first trek to McLean Creek, (less than an hour outside Calgary Alberta) and I realized quite quickly that running trails with a friend would not only be more fun but would also help in sticky situations, choosing lines and general experience of the area.
If you enjoy getting out in the fresh air and aren't one of those people that think "if you don't get stuck or break something you aren't trying hard enough." Personally I am of the mindset that I love my truck and want to have it forever. I would rather tackle everything I am comfortable with and leave it at that.
I am driving the "legendary" Tom Cruiser (1997 LX 450) I just bought him off a co-worker and am slowly trying to stretch his legs.
Look forward to seeing some of you on the trails.
