Hey guys I finally got a company truck and I am contemplating selling my personal truck because it just sits in the driveway. I have driven it maybe 3 times in the last month and I just can justify making payments on it moving forward. So with that being said, I think I'm going to start looking for an 80 or 100 series to play around with. If anyone has any leads please let me know. It would need to be worthy of being a daily driver which means I really don't want to go above 200,000. I know they can last longer but that's about my comfort level right now. Factory lockers would be great but not required. I'm surfing craigslist some but I wanted to let y'all know incase someone sees something worth looking at

Dude- I'd start looking for a 100 series w/rear locker...v8 is tough to beat..

Real nice 2000 model 100 on CL in Tulsa w/176k miles. Very clean looking and the guy said he has all the service records.

Bumping this up. The search is now in full swing. My white truck is sold and I'm officially without a personal vehicle (or a truck payment!) Decided I want a 100 series vs an 80 just for the V8 and potential of factory lockers depending on the year. Budget is $14k. I'm checking cargurus.com daily as well as local and surrounding state craigslist ads. If anyone knows of anything please let me know or post a link. I'd like to buy from a fellow cruiser head or forum member if possible because I know the maintenance will be up to date with someone of that caliber. I'm sure Joe Blow from off the street isn't as likely to keep up with the preventative maintenance or keep service records. This truck needs to be worthy of making a cross country trip with no issues.

Thanks for any leads guys. I wanted to act sooner but really needed to sell the truck to free up funds.

I'd exhaust the classifieds on mud...surely you'll find something...just try to practice some patience...I know it's difficult, but it'll pay off in the long run for sure. I think you're making the right choice with the 100 series...Good Luck to ya!

I know nothing about his truck (other than seeing it), but Greg from Cottonland is/was selling his 100.

Yeah I've come across it in my browsing. It does have low mileage but I think it's a little on the high side too.

I have decided that I'm basing my focus on 100 series only at this point.

Drove it this morning. Probably going to make a cash offer and see what happens. 90k maintenance done at 120k, clean exterior minus 1 little dent behind the front driver tire and a spot on the fender where the brush guard must have been loose and rubbed the paint off. Interior needs a good detail job but everything is functional. It's got a brand new set of tires on it. If one of y'all is free today, I'd love for someone to go by and give me a second opinion but I know that's a lot to ask.

Too many miles for me on that one.

I'd take a look but 1) no time and 2) not super familiar with 100's other than web surfing.

Description on CL and yours leads me to believe it is a solid cruiser. Having the 90k service done is a good sign.
