One of my projects on my 75 FJ40 is to rebuild the original 2F. Does anyone recommend a shop to get the block bored/honed, crank turned and head work?

Then quick tech question. I've got a 2F out of an 84 FJ60. What parts a interchangeable? From what I've figured out so far, the heads and oil pump are different, but can't find much else on the subject.

Simmons Machine shop on Hwy 61 has a long history in Charleston. I've got a 2F to rebuild and was planning to use them.

I had not heard of Fisk, but will investigate them also.

Fisk's prices don't look too bad, but I don't know how they compare to Simmons. They are updating their price list right now. Fisk's is close to the weapons station which is a win for me.

Lawhorns on 17a just pass carnes cross roads has done 2 for me recently.

I used Simmons for little stuff on my FJ40 and they were good. I have no experience with rebuilds though. Sorry, but if you find someone and are happy with them, please let us know.

Will do. One of my buddies used lawhorns and they did great work as well. There seems to be a few around here. Choices choices...
