looking for 98' to 01' 100-series cruiser (finders fee will be givin)!

Well,

I think I sold my FJZ80 to a guy who came out to Flat Nasty this year, so I'm starting to look for a new rig. I'm very specific as to what I want so I need your help in finding it. I'm looking for a 1998 to 2001 100-series LandCruiser. It must be River Rock Gray, Third Row Seats, Rear Locking Diff and preferably it must have less than 100k on it.

As most of you know I am very picky about my rigs so it needs to be VERY clean and I will pay anyone $100 bucks if they find me a rig that I buy. I'm keeping my eye out on MUD, but it can never hurt to have others looking for me as well.

Before you say anything Chris... I know I should have purchased yours when you had yours for sale, but I didn’t even know you had one..

Damn, you beat me to it. The color is actually River Rock Jade. Mine didn't have rear locking diff. - that might be the toughest part of your search.

Ours resides in Houston AFAIK.

Not to get off topic, but was '01 the last year of the e-locker? Did they also have the a-trac? I'll keep my eyes open in this neck of the woods. Yours sure was nice.

From what I read, the 1998 & the 1999 are the only years that the e-locker was an avaliable option. In 2000 you got:
VSC (Vehicle Skid Control) added
A-TRAC (Active Traction Control) added
EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) added
Rear Differential Locker was no longer available as an option

So, I would prefer a 1998 or 1999 w/ e-locker, but if I find a 2000 in great shape, I could fork our the $$ down the road to add an ARB, but would prefer not have to do that as I will need to add one to the front regardless of year.

Have you wheeled the FJ and used A-Trac. You'd be surprised how capable it is without the locker.

At Flat Nasty two years ago I did and was very surpised at how well it proformed. Need to do some more research on what others say about the 100 w/ lockers and those with A-Trac. Some love it, some hate it i'm sure.

Yeah, Larry (blue FJC) used the A-trac at Flat Nasty because it works so well, even though he has the e-locker. It was impressive.

there was a lexus version in a local auto guide it was white though. I think we might have thrown it away. If you want more info I will try to dig through the bathroom and find it.
