3 different cracks on the top end that aren’t repairableWhat wring with your cylinder head?
Close up of the chamber. The purple dye was from the machinist.
Yes i believe it is…I’ll confirm tomorrow thx!Is the head off yet?? You need to see if you have flat top pistons or domed......if you have flats, you need the 61040
Super helpful, thx! Should know more tomorrow
Sweet! Just sent ya a DMI have one fully machined, all new valves, etc. ready to go.
The cylinder head I have is a actual non-US 3F head. It’s been awhile since I had it rebuilt and put it on mothballs but I think it didn’t have air rail ports drilled. He has a 3F. The correct head is a 61050 or a 61060. There are casting differences between early 2F 61040 heads and POST 4/85 2F head. A late 61040 head may work. Dunno.
A 61050 head will work on a late 2F/3F block.
To the right person, those are gold. I had a non-US 61040 head about a decade ago. Got some really good money for it, even then. The cylinder head I have is an actual non-US 3F head. It’s been awhile since I had it rebuilt and put it on mothballs but I think it didn’t have air rail ports drilled.
