Hi, I'm looking for 1990 BJ73 FRP slide windows weather seals ( outer ones ). The onde in my BJ73 are cracking.
Anyone knows where I could find them?
Many thanks.
Carlos from Brazil

Hi
Replacement parts needed are the runners / slide channel (RH 62755-90K01 now 62755-60040, LH 62756-90K01 now 62756-60040)
Those are readily available from Toyota or the usual parts dealers for our rigs.
I got mine from euro4x4parts.com, who also ship worldwide. Don't know whether that's a good deal for Brazil, though.

To replace the strips you need to remove the metal frames from the FRP top which is quite a procedure. I described it here:

Hi, I”m askink about the gasket between the window frame and the FRP top. The sliders are fine.
The metal window frame is glued to the FRP Top.
Originally a butyl mastic was used. Rather as a sealant; the frame was actually hold in place by the inner clamping strip. There was even a repair set for that, containing alcohol pads for decreasing and of course the butyl cord. But of course that's long discontinued.
Today one may fall back to either generic butyl cord or a modern sealant.
Important: Use 'sealant', not 'bodywork glue', as you might want to remove the frame later again.

It looks like both left and right side channels are no longer available from Toyota.
Parts 62755-60040 (Run/Channel RHS ) and 62756-60040 (Run/Channel LHS).
Will need to go to the alternate parts dealers.
