So a Lexus dealer has a 2016 GX, that has been for sale since the end of July. Half way through that time, it was moved from one Lexus dealer to another Lexus dealer. The maintenance was done between the dealership and and oil change places. There is no 30k mile service showing, and no oil change showing on the carfax or from Lexus between the 24k and 49k miles. It shows brakes done @ 49k miles are local repair shop, and then Lexus did the brakes again at 52k miles (60k mile service). They are asking $34k for it, and it has 52k miles, and I'm really worried I am missing something since it has been for sale for so long.

If it were myself, I'd take it to my own personal mechanic that I've used for all my service for the last 30 years and pay the $80.00 for him to do an entire inspection, including cylinder compression, brakes, yada, yada, yada. Every used vehicle I've ever purchased I've had him look at and he's always been spot-on with is final review.

Where is Victor Valley from San Clemente?? You could always bring it to my guy and see what he says... :hmm:

Victorville in on the 15 on the way to Vegas, but the GX is in West LA area.

If you're interested in my "guy" looking it over, it is Jay's Car Repair: Jay’s Car Repair - San Clemente, CA
Yes, the owners name is Jay... The reviews should speak for themselves.

walk away, there is a ton of gently used GX's on the market that come off of lease each year.

This is off a lease. According to the carfax, it was a lease for 2 yrs, 1 month. I'm willing to walk away, but I also want to check it out, as it's priced pretty cheap.

Not much improvement over the earlier GX models, and the deal doesn’t sound great. I was in the same boat but found an enormous inventory of GX’s with low miles and in good shape with all records.

My 2012 had barely 42k miles on it and it looked new, inside and out for $28k.

I’d keep looking.

Is it cheap because it's a base model? Or is it truly a good deal with added options?

Price looks right for year/mileage. Looks to be a base model with luxury wheels.

I had similar situation, bought a 2016 with 30k miles, was not certified. Dealer said that certifying it would add a few grand to the price he'd have to charge. 34K is a great deal, I'd ask if they just chose not to certify it - I don't know how a car would "fail" the certification - usually they replace everything wear and tear related when certifying. Hope you bought it if it's gone.

Stopped by today, sold last night. It was 150 miles from my house. Wife and I stopped by today on our way out of town.

Not meant to be... 😏
