Hi @wardharris just to clarify my confusion, the new setup on a 100 series would be: we take out the old tank and replace it with your40-gallon replacement tank plus we add an auxiliary 24-gallon tank? Making it now a 64-gallon overall capacity to carry fuel? Nuub question here.

Correct. You can replace the main and add an aux of 40 or 24 gallons, OR
Just replace the main (no aux), OR
Just add an aux (keeping the OR main).

I put the 40g in my 2001 and it’s been the best thing I’ve done! Upgraded tires and suspension are no brainers and don’t count in my opinion, as they are such a basic necessity for off road travel. i Have zero regrets! It was an easy install as well. I took it to a friend that has a garage and I could use his lift. Took a day, and that’s with zero experience with tank work.
