I read the inspection requirements and my FJ62 looks good except for the rear recovery points. I have a stock rear bumper and a receiver hitch.

Do I need attached D shackles or something to pass?

Thanks,

Dunbar

Dunbar: I think you will be okay. There are lots of stockers with the same set up as you so don't let that stop you. Head on down and have a great time.

for those heading down tonight, drive safe. the roads are already s***ty and i imagine it is worse further west.

Does anyone know the hours for check-in?

Thanks.

Kelly

Hey guys,
I just wanted to Thank Butch & The LSLC, and everyone that came out for the great time we had out there. The Trail Teams had a great time out there, wheeling, food and nightime entertainment, and look forward to wheeling with you guys again.
Thanks Ron

Just wanted to say thanks for a great weekend and trail riding in Texas. I do not remember all the names of the people that put on the event but Thank You again for a nice weekend !

Also Thanks to Rolondo (spelling ?) for finding my GMC key that broke off my key chain on the trail. Turning it into the office on the way out sure made it alot nicer to make it home 10 hours away. Thanks again :beer:

Any pictures yet?

I posted a few on the white trash board under -
"Official I made it home from Roundup 2008 thread"

I'm too lazy to post them twice but had a GREAT TIME!- Thanks Butch and all who were involved!:clap:

If you enjoyed the copy of Overland Journal that was in the registration packet, please let them know. They have a reader survey on their site. Take the time to fill it out and let them know you appreciate their support. And subscribe if you haven't. It is a great magazine.

And we need more pictures.

Thanks to All!

I want to personally thank all of you who stepped up again to make this year's RoundUp a kick-ass event. It was great to see some old faces, especially Tom and JJ. I would especially like to thank Car-top-tent and Toyota Dallas Parts for making that grand prize tent available to ride home with me on top of my truck. I can't wait to break it in. After a decade of farting around with these trucks, its hard to remain excited when you're trapped way the hell down here in Houston with no hills, rocks or LSLC buddies. But a day on those pink granite rocks with Jason Harsh's 40, Clutchee's 60, J.P.'s 80 and Maurice's 100 brought it all back.

Extra thanks to Jason and the Austin crowd who made the effort as well. Good to see the club grow at the hands of the devoted. Butch, Chad, Laird and Nick, you guys are the best. Kruse, you're my guitar pickin' brutha from anotha mutha.

Later.

What a great event. My group of 4 cruisers picked this event as a prelude to making a trip to Moab. We thought it would be a good test run. What we found was that this event is worth making on its own merits. Great party, good food, INTERESTING company, and plenty of challanges. I would tell anyone who has never made it here to put it down as a must try event. I would like to extend a special thanks for the ARB gift card I won at the raffle. In a few days I will have a front locker sitting in my garage.:cheers::cheers:
