Hopefully you did not pay a lot for that garbage.

Turn your flash off and put your auto setting on macro.

:meh:

Poser,
Would you run Lockrights at all? What do you think caused that damage?

a lock right is like 200-300$ just buy a new one or a Detroit or a Aussie .

i wouldn't run that .

IIRC, two of the holes come ellipical from the factory. don't know how they got chipped like that. When youhave problems with them, it is usually because of out of spec clearance.

No, I would not, but that is just me.

I installed my first locker in 1992 and it was an ARB and I liked the fact that I could learn how to operate my junk with open differentials, and had the ability to turn it off in loose/slippery/side hill situations where you want to be able to drive strait instead of being pushed around and out of shape by a locker.

Thousands of people have installed and ran that style of locker for many years now without any issues. They are a very cost-effective alternative to an open differential or one of the more expensive options, and when installed properly, seem to last even under larger tires. With that said however, I have also repaired the broken gear sets that resulted from the locker shattering and falling apart while under power.

:meh:

Thanks Poser.
I have a Lockright in my rear axle and it's been in there for about to years with no problems. This post had me worried that mine might look like that soon. I took my diff cover of a few months ago and looked for metal shavings or anything out of the ordinary, but all seemed good.
That said I run 33"s, have a tired F engine, and use it mostly on fire roads. I guess I just always doubted the strength of those tiny pins and holes:meh:
