Hi everybody can anyone tell me the advantage or disadvantage of locking and none locking hubs.

The purpose of the lock out:

Isolating the front axle components from the drive wheels so as to minimize wear on the axle components, along with reducing drag and possibly increasing fuel economy.

A non-locking hub, also known as a drive flange or plate, keeps the axle shafts and other front drive line components constantly rotating with the front wheel assemblies.

Thank you for that simple answer, how easy is it to convert lock out hubs.

It really is not that difficult of a procedure. Remove the drive flange and install the lockout.
