What part of this VIN code contains the locking diff information?

jt3dj81w4p003836x

I've searched all around and the LC break down is un-common.

Thanks

I know the code on the door tells you. K292=No lockers K294=Lockers
Not sure about the VIN itself.

Not in the VIN...Mayo's got it correct.

I just always remember in my best Soup Nazi Voice.....292-No Locker For You :flipoff2:

As Mayo said.., and Safado re-iterated..., and Junk re-iterated-re-irritated..., CHECK THE PLATE...MAN!

Lurker,

If you can't get access to the plate on the door and the VIN is all you've got.... AND if you are in C-Dan's good graces then give him a PM and be patient. Maybe he can pull the Mahony giving all the options when the truck was built.

As others have said, the diff lock option is not coded in the VIN.

Shouldn't there be a switch on the dash if you have it, and none if you don't?

Don't make things easy here Doc. :flipoff2:

I think it's more in reference to an ebay type purchase...you're guaranteed to get the VIN and maybe a shot of the VIN TAG...that way you could grab up a deal on a locked 80 that the owner didn't even know about.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do.

You score a perfect A+ in mind reading. :D
