Let me start off by saying THE MOTOR IS KNOCKING AND HAS NO OIL PRESSURE. I was driving it home from work and the motor started to knock. I pulled over after about 1 mile and had it towed.
The good: Tires (285's I think) have about 6000 mile on them and about 95 % tread, Body is straight and paint is about 95 % with some scratches, it is locked, Head gasket was done about 3000 miles ago (That really doesn't matter now) along with spark plugs, phh, fuel filter, has front and rear brush guards that were painted about 5 years ago to match the bumpers (Showing some rust now)

The bad: The front drivers seat is showing wear, small rips in bottom part, The passenger seats are all pretty good. The front windshield is cracked on the passenger side. The tow harness needs to be replaced. The front axle seals are leaking but well greased.

The ugly: The motor is blown, The wireless alarm does not unlock the doors anymore but the alarm still works.

This thing is completely stock besides the upgraded tires and a after market radio. I am the second owner of the vehicle. Both me and the previous owner took care of the vehicle pretty well. Never had a problem with it besides the head gasket and now the rod knock. The vehicle is white, has all the options except heated seats. It is sitting at a friends tow yard and would need to be towed out. I would put the money into it to fix it but i just don't have it right now. I should be able to get pictures of it in the next week but recommend coming and looking at it. It is located in zip code 08109 which is right outside Philadelphia on the jersey side. I work the grave yard shift so I am always up. I will not ship, you must provide any transport. The company that towed it charges 130 an hour each way for towing if you cant find any other way. It has 183999 miles on it and I may consider some trades.

I'll leve it up here for a week or so and if no bites ill throw it on ebay.... Dont be a fraid to throw some prices out there. I neeed to buy a car by monday and im kind of desperate for money right now.

I forgot to add it has a red top battery and cd player with ipod hook up which charges the ipod as it plays through the radio... I might also be able to ship within the usa I have been looking into it... will also consider intersting trades if you have any.. I like guns, quads, argo's, tractors, manx, anything fun could even need work... Just give me a shout and let ke know. The thing is worth probably about 5000 running. I dont even want close to that, its a bit of a heart ach to see it sitting there not running. I just want to get rid of it. PM me 24-7,

I think what he ment by the 'rears', being plural was both locked axles. Which you can get 2K for them if you are patient, and you get lucky and are in the same location as the person wanting them. They always seem to be available on the other side of the country when you're looking, reguardless of what side of the country your in!

Value of the vehicle is largely determined by who is in the market at that time, and how quickly you are wanting to get rid of it. I picked up a locked rolled 80 w/ only 17K on the ticker for $1400. Parted it out for 3 times that and I didn't even mess with the little parts. But, I had the time to do it, and was patient for the most part, at least once I got the $1400 back out of it. As a buyer you can get good deals if you have cash in hand and find someone who needs cash quick. As a seller, you will always suffer if you need to turn it quickly.

I personally don't think there is a thing wrong with an offer of 1K. Also don't think there is a thing wrong with refusing it. I also think the absurd, $1001 comment was in jest.

If a person is handy and can source an engine, they'll have a nice truck for small money, big effort. Or if they part it - though it's sad to see clean trucks parted - a bit of sweat will tripple your money.

In this day and age anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay. You can ask whatever you want for something but that doesn't mean your going to get it. I don't think 2k was an unfair price but I wasn't willing to pay that much. Had it been right down the road I might have considered it.

I've done my fair share of parting cruisers out. There is nothing glamorous about it and its not easy money but if you are patient and you can make a buck or two.

This one would be a better candidate to drop another engine into. or better yet stick a diesel in it.
