Can someone tell me where the coolant drain plug(s) are for a 100? Just one or two? And if possible, describe the process for flushing and replacing the coolant?

I did a search and found many references to 80's, but not 100's.

Thanks!

there is a drain on each side of the block on the V8, I have seen em........but can't explain where they are, the FSM shows them clearly

not sure but prolly the skid plate needs to come off..........

when I 1st got my 100 I looked at the oil filter........damn thats not gonna be fun to get to............then looked underneath..............cool there is a hatch to get to it ;)

Thanks Pimp, do you know if I have to remove the skid plate or is there an access hatch?

I realize that this is likely a very mondane topic for many of you. But, here's my plan for this weekend WRT the Cooling System Flush. If something here is wrong, or if there is a step missing please let me know:

1. Open drain plugs, drain and catch the old coolant.
2. Open radiator fill cap, insert garden hose and start the water flowing.
3. Start the engine, turn on the heat full blast and let the system flush for ??? mins. (maybe 10 mins.??).
4. Replace coolant.

deal with thermostat issue if you want to clean the whole thing?

haven't done mine yet, but am assuming that if you don't open up the thermostat you won't flush the whole system? In fact, just ordered a thermostat and gasket on that assumption so that I can flush my cooling system. Hope I'm right...
