I saw at the Costco in Richmond. 12litre case of Castrol GTX Diesel 15w40 for around $40.

I've used their power steering and tranny additive before. If your only issue is seal related, it does seem to work - at least for a while.

Dang those Toyota motors hold a lot of oil.

The damn cummins, can't even do two changes from one pail, and in the winter I got to use that damn 0-40 sh*t at $110 for 20L, sure makes a difference thou at -40 that 15-40makes better grease

Well, I have the same problem - almost. It takes about 11.5L to do an oil change,; but I can usually get away with dino and plugging in while I ma in the interior or up north. Only one year did I run the esso synthetic the Greg recommended. I couldn't afford to run that stuff all the time. My two oil filters cost me $40 and now even the Rotella dino oil is costing me over $40 and oil change. It's over $80 every 5000 kms.
