i used to camp at an old abandoned mine converted into a juvenile delinquent camp
up harrison west road .
there was a few old mine shafts you could walk into and an old abandoned house. not sure if you can get to it anymore it has been logged in that area. i couldn't find the road in last time i went up there, i didn't look very hard either. there still is an old very overgrown road leading into it but you will need a chain saw to get down to it ,it is right at the lake shore .nice spot to camp ,
it might be fun to go look for it again it is either at bremner creek or tretheway creek , pretty sure
tretheway creek around the 66km mark from Sasquatch inn , one road in on either side of the creek under the powerlines i always recognise the area once i get there. anyways thats all i know , not sure how many people ever got down to it . i left my axe, saw and shovel there one time ,went back a year later and it was all still sitting where i left it .

P.S. the road into it was similiar to the harder way down into Hale creek

 Jake

if you where ever interested and out that way the new backroad mapbook shows a road going down at Tretheway ? if it happen to be the same old road it ended right at the entrance to a mine shaft you can walk into the mountain quite aways . i started to get a claustrophobic feeling about 150 meters into the shaft/tunnel:grinpimp:

I have never heard of that one. Would make for an interesting trip. How long ago were you in there?

probably around 10 years ago when i used to camp there ,Doh! ,
i was up there looking for it two years ago and they had logged that whole area around the easy road in .but the harder road in was still visible but completely grown over .looks like a quad could make most of the way down .

i had also been there by boat about 4 years ago and it was still visible accept that the old house had caved in . the road follows the creek down .the road has a very steep cliff beside it down into the creek .

i may have to go for a drive back up there myself. it always was a fun trip
