Anyone got a loaner FJ40 knuckle centering tool in SWFL? Might tackle my knuckles soon, and I know my shims aren't correct. Dont want to buy a tool that expensive to use once in my life if I don’t have to.

How do you know your shims aren’t correct?

I bought my FJ40 back in the 90s. I put junkyard mini truck outers on the front axle to get the disc brakes. I have no clue how I handled the shims, it was too long ago. But I know I didn’t use a centering tool, so it’s not necessarily correct. I had a Haynes manual and a loose leaf “land cruiser bible”, or something like that. Think it was typed out.

I actually just replaced my rubber brake lines. Took me a minute to figure out why the the front rubber lines didn’t work! Mini’s!

Sorry just saw this post. Do you still need a centering tool to reshim your knuckles? If so I have one that you can use, let me know.

I bought Trail Tailor’s version once I saw they were making one, but thank you!
