Have a pallet in Washington state looking to get freighted to the valley. was ready a couple weeks for a road trip to pick it up once the container cleared custom. Something caught the eye of a inspector and container was pulled for a agricultural inspection that lasted weeks. In the mean time my wife has had some health issues which would be best if I stay here. Looking to see if someoe in the central west valley have a loading dock or fork lift that could except the pallet and then load it on a trailer. Thanks

Pictures of the pallet from today for reference.

Interested to see what is available.
Been looking at getting an axle shipped to the valley.
A friend had a dozen hummer wheels shipped a couple years ago. He used uship.com He just had to go to a terminal. They had the dock and forklifts.

I wondered myself about a trucking company that had a hub/Depot. Back in the eighties and early nineties did A/C work at a few. I remember the office building inside the terminal the main issue was the plugged condenser coils from all the exhaust from the diesels. I know there is Fastenal and Forward Air but those both require someone dropping it off at a terminal. Was considering getting something from Texas and delivered to Flagstaff by Fastenal but they said there weren't taking on shipments going east to west. My pallet needs to be picked up. Would prefer to take a road trip but would be better if I stay local for a while.

I have purchased several items that came in via truck freight. Merely tell the shipper to mark the bill-of-lading to notify you upon arrival and hold for customer pickup. Then go to their terminal and they will forklift it onto your truck or trailer. I'm always in and out in 30 minutes or less.

Even if took longer than 30 minutes still way better compared to three days doing a quick turnaround. Just need to be sure the shipper has a depot here where it came be picked up. The ones I did A/C work at were in the southwest valley, not too far from home.

John,
Saia should be able to help you, they have three day service from Portland terminal to their Phoenix terminal on 43rd ave and buckeye. They can pick up from Kelso WA.

Thought I had a ride arranged with the trayback it's sitting on. Guess there was some issue with the trayback and the owner flew up at the last minute instead of driving to inspect it and decided he didn't have the room here or wanted to deal with it right now. Guessing it will be resold in Washington. Probably best I do go up and see it. To be honest just ready to actually see what I bought back in May. At that point can decide what I'm going to do with it before investing in parts for a transmission not worth rebuilding. It's the top cover and few other things the reason for buying it. Been talk of reproducing the 4X series top covers for a long time. Last time I seen the thread it was on the third person looking in to it. Hope is to get one in a 40 before I'm too old to drive a manual transmission.

If you have a good sized feed store near you that sells hay, I have used them for freight drop off as they almost always have big forklifts and most freight companies won't drive out to our ranch on the dirt road. My feed store folks just do it out of the goodness of their hearts, but most stores would likely do it for a few bucks.
