OK, I admit, not very techy, but still.........

There's a small light between the turn signals on the dash in my FJ60. What does it typically 'indicate'?? Mine came on for about 10 minutes this morning and then went off by itself, so I'm curious. Thanks!

seriously????? It came on while I was driving down the highway.....with my seatbelt on. If you're serious, there must be a short in it somewhere. Thanks!

Do 60's have true seat belt indicators? My 62 has a seat-belt light that turns on the first minute the truck is running, but then turns off wether or not I'm wearing my seat belt. I was under the impression there is no indicator in the actual belt, it's just a "courtesy" light to remind you to buckle up.

I looked over lunch. The little light is right in between the turn signal indicators, which are above the tach, which is above the seatbelt light. Still confused? I'll try to get a pic of it tonight and post it up. I'm  .

Is the light orange? If so, ypu may have a rare variation of the FJ60...

Yep, it's orange. What's that mean and what's it for?

Its your windshield washer-fluid temperature warning light. :hillbilly

Dont worry about it it's a fitzer valve pressure warring indicator. Unless you hear the buzzer the pressure is not going to cause serious or long term damage to your engine. Some people just take the dash apart and remove the bulb. However I would not recomend that.

BWAHAHAHA!!! I also considered the possibility of it being my muffler bearing premature failure indicator light!

It tells you when the flux capacitor is charged up.

Nope no idea. I does'nt look stock to me.

It's not factory; someone added the lamp for what ever reason.

As for seat belt; my driverside seat belt clip ( by center console) has a 'switch' in it ( sort of a switch...set of contacts opened by inserting belt clip)

Explanation from Jeff.......

It is the engine warning light tied to the computer - the odb or whatever it is called is below the dash - pull into any Chevy dealer and run the codes if the light comes on...

The reason it went off is - you might have an O2 sensor fouled - the only time I ever had it come on - the O2 sensor in front of the front cat was burned out - so I replaced it - just run the codes the computer stores them - it is behind the front right kick panel...complete with a Hypertech chip...

That makes sense.
