Wow the tan looks very nice!

I am up for:
- DIfferent colors. (More traditional LC colors)
- removable top
- do something with the blind spot, split mirrors maybe?
- front locker
- standard CC and passanger arm rest
- Is a sunroof avail?

Offroad version with 4:1 TC or higher at some point down the road, has to be on 35's :). Diesel would be sweet as well!

It is just too bad I have a family now. No chance of me getting somethng like this for quite some time.

They gotta do something about the taillights...

They are NOT rock friendly at all...

In a perfect world it would have a Solid front axle and factory e-lockers from the 80 Series and a Diesel powerplant.

Some Toyota dealerships call themselves "Peformance dealers". I know the Parts manager at the one down here and he attended a Performance meeting this month. Removeable tops were in the works for the 08 model.

Nice, that's what I'm waiting for. Seems quite easy to make the rear windows open-able and stick the spare underneath too. Oh, and include the rear wiper standard!

Changes

  • Colors (all I want is that tan)
  • C-pillar fixed/drop the rear speakers that make the wrap-around windows useless, to make rear visibility what it should be.
  • Metal bumpers
  • Metal trim inside

Stretch changes: Diesel, rear ambulance doors

Cheers,
prat

A factory lift? Do you work for a group of lawyers licking their chops and wanting to sue Toyota into oblivion?

Geez, the general population doesn't even check the air in their tires for proper inflation, and you want Toy to held responsible for soccer moms doing barrel rolls along the interstate because their 4" factory lifted SUVS with MTs had a slow leak?

I hope you're kidding. oh, I'm sorry.....this is dreamworld!!!:flipoff2:

after two weeks

The only wishes I have after two weeks are...

1. A bigger gas tank. Gas mileage is decent, but a couple more gallons for the road 'd be nice.

2. Visor extensions. Those things only cover about 6 inches of the side window, and even I don't sit close enough for those to work.

I'm a little vertically challenged ;) , but after a couple hours the blind spots were not an issue... I just run people the hell of the road, kidding. I found some rectangle spot mirrors, (they're about 1" X 2"), and no problems at all.

After talking with numerous people ( current buyers of FJ's) & salespeople they have all given their opinions as to what should be fixed or included in the next years production. These include -

3 - Grab handles to make it easier for back seat passengers to get in & out

I just got my first up close and personal. Asked the 14 year old daughter of the owner if she liked her mom's FJC and she said she did, but it needs a grab handle on the headliner to help with getting out of the back seat!

From the mouths of babes.....

If she could figure that out in 3 days of ownership...

I'll put down money with the addition of a Moonroof AND more colors, (Love the Tan PhotoChop!)

As I told the sales dude.............."a diesel mill and a solid front axle would put me in this rig".
I would also love a hard top/soft top option as well.

I will keep dreaming!

Add a diesel
Add Front locker
Add Front and Rear winch mounts

I agree with this but in the 10 years my XD9000 has been on the front of my 40 I have never really needed to pull myself rearward.
And the guy behind could tug me a bit if I'm impailed on some pointy rock!

Are you talking about reciever winch mounts? They work ok, but I have seen them bend on side pulls and they give a crappy approach/departure angle so you pretty much have to pull it off and stow it before going on. And they look ugly.

Better to have a nice ARB bumper with an itegrated mount and some tow points out back.

And a diesel engine.....
And a solid front axle...

I went by the dealer to have another gander today but I am going to have to pass, at least until the front end gets fixed.
