When I do not have a specific destination in mind and just want an interesting drive in the mountains with good scenery I often head for the passes. First off not all passes are on the Continental Divide but just separate one watershed from another. Many passes are little known and hard to find just by eyeballing a map.
I ran across the website linked below. It is a list of Colorado pass roads subdivided into paved and unpaved.
If any of you are "passbagger" you'll find it useful. Others may like it for route planning.
