Linking to photos already uploaded to Mud

Is there a way to have the photo appear as a photo instead of a link?

That changed a week-two ago in an attempt to control bandwidth....server is pushing 600g a month right now, a 10x increase in the past year....I'm monitoring to see if linked images are really the issue, or if site traffic is just that high.

For the past week, changes in bandwidth have been minimal, so I may change it back....

*edit* and, I know better than to link to an image on the mud server on another site.

I was just curious of linked images on two threads that are both on Mud.

Personally I've never know that linking to work. I get the 'ol 'this pic is already posted on so and so thread'. Even way back it never worked for me .. I always just assumed it was because the link did NOT end in .jpg or .gif
