Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on a good and cost effective Line-X dealer near Dallas. I live almost downtown, but any suggestion would be great. I am going to take the flares off my 80 and would like to put some Line-X on there.

Thanks.

How about Rhino Lining ?

I am having my roof Rhino'd today (removed factory roof racks). I will let you know how it goes if you are interested. I decided to not use Line-X due to price issues. I had the received a quote from Lewisville Line-X and they were 2x the cost. Went to Rhino of McKinney and their price was very reasonable and 1/2 the price of Line-X even with customer color matching. I believe that the product is similar in both quality and longevity. Will post again once the work is done.

Rhino done

Had a good experience at Rhino Lining's of Mckinney. Would recommend them. PM me your email address and I can send you some photo's. I PM'd you with the price and prices of Line-X and having a body shop do it right. Rhino was the way to go.

Verruck1 - I could not PM you since you account if full. But that's great information - thanks! My email is gtcontactlist@hotmail.com if you could send a photo. BTW, how did you close off the holes? Did you grind the holes down flush with the roof, or did you not bother. I ripped of my roof rack yesterday and have been figuring out what to do. The adhesive is a PITA! I am only about 70% done with that. This cold weather is not helping. Thanks.

Hi Jonathon - Just sent you the pictures. I left the nutserts in place. The Rhino guys just filled them with some material so that if I ever want to re-install the rack, I could. As for the rust, they treated the rusted area with a chemical that converts the rust to metal. The coating is thick enough so that you do nto see the nutserts sticking up. Looks good (IMHO). Let me know if you need anything else.

By the way, I used my wifes blow dryer and the adhesive rubbed right off. Need to get it plenty hot and it melts away.

hey could you also shoot me some pics to jth7708 -at- gmail dot com? Also, do you have the number for that rhino liner dealer in McKinney?

Thanks,

Can you shoot me an email of the pictures and price? I'm also interested in rhino-lining the roof rack.

Does it come in other colors besides black?

'97, need your email address. Dave G - they are on the way shortly. Let me know if you guys need anything else.

Thank you sir!

I just noticed I gave you the wrong email address. Doh... The correct one is: david.gonzalez@gmail.com

Got the pics last night when I got home. It looks great! What is the color? I couldn't tell if it was gray or tan?

Looks good....lots of work prepping your rig for that. I wonder how much it would be to do all of my truck?

May not be that unreasonable. The prep work they did prior to spraying took them several hours. If not much taping off, then maybe the price is not so unreasonable. Give 'em a call.

Another option

I have continued to do some research on this. That Rhino job looked great! But I found a product called Speedliner www.speedliner.com which is supposidly even more strong and have better UV protection that the traditionals. Their shop in Denton (jason nalley - 940 300 1434) quoted $485 for both the roof and the full rockers. Sounds like a good deal and I am considering. But maybe if he got a group buy he would reduce a bunch more. If anyone is interested let me know.

next time you talk to him, ask about just the rockers. I may be interested.

I think the rockers alone were about $285. HE thought the top was a ton of work.
