Riad, you still have those pictures of your x-terra going over on Dictums? I think those actually do the ledge justice.

Chris

Sure :D !!! I loved driving home after I had it on its feet, with only front drive shaft. Enjoy!!! Don't want to see an 80 (yours or mine) in this situation, by all means.

Fellas-While it looks like fun, you East Coast guys have seriously got to come to Moab. There are a series of steps taller than that just to get to the start of many trails in Moab. Go west young man....

Those Disco water pics are impressive, and no way I would have gone in there snorkle or not.

Also-good Xterra shots-it rolls pretty well! Is there as little damage as it looks?

Yeah open diffs could be bad news on the ledge. Wait Riad are you coming to wheel with us at GWNF?
No man, sorry, not gonna make it. But I am signed up to go on the 26th with the Xterra, Heeps and bunch of other guys. You (or every one else) are more than welcome to join in :D

Yeah it looks like a little damage. As I said, I drove home home, 3 hours, with it. However, the windshield posts were bent. very slightly. Roof was totally destroyed, because the body has 2 cross members on the roof and they were welded to the roof (from the factory). It could have been a soft top trail roller but I had to quit dumping money to it :D. Beside the fact that the tranny and the engine is seriously week on that truck. 80 is much better.

Oh and Cruiserdrew you are right. I have been out west and it is crazy. But have you really experienced the east coast. Cause at Tellico and Gray rock that is where the real guys play. The trails at Tellico and Gray rock are absolutely insane. Not saying harder than out west just different. So come on over to our side and we can show you some crazy trails for sure.

the difference between east coast wheeling and west coast is traction...Moab and places like that have tons of traction....tellico ain't got it...plain and simple. Virginia doesn't have it either....that ledge doesn't look like much, but you can't see the drop off to the side either - Imagine a baby guardrail from tellico.

good call on switching to the 80 over the xterra....it's hard to picture an intimidating off road vehicle with BFG a/t :grinpimp:

Actually I have been 4 wheeling in Virginia! I grew up there, and left 22 years ago (thank the supremebeing). We had an old K5 Blazer and used to go in the powerline cuts. What I remember is slippery clay mud. To this day, IH8MUD. I'm sure it's harder in real life than in the pics, at least I hope so.:flipoff2: It's all good though. Any time you arn't at work and can take a day to play in the wildlands, it's a good day. The West definitely has better 4 wheeling, though.

It depends what you want to call better. Come to Tellico in Tennessee and I will show you better four wheeling!

You are right, it looked hedious as well (to me) with the ATs but was a good daily driver. Very quiet. That was the main purpose of those ATs. Also I did not expect GWNF to be in need of Boggers. I still don't. But, 80 covers it all.

As for the west coast, you could be right. I hear their rocks are like heavy duty sand papers. We got all slimy and slippery stuff around here. Tellico has some cool place though.
