Im trying to stay away from the torson bars iv already broke one.
for a soon-to-be SA swap id go Body lift- Cheap and removable when you do the SA swap
You could do something like Roger Brown's ball joint spacers:
Toyota 2WD/4WD IFS Front Ball Joint Spacers for Pickup, 4Runner and T100
Then also get one of his body lifts, pound the fendr seam flat in the front. Longer shackles in the back.
Spending money on lifting the IFS when you're just gonna hack it all back off is a huge waste.

$150 for a 2" body lift I think is worth it. Don't know what kind of axle your swaping but I got 4" wrangler springs with the 2" BL on an 85' Axle, and I can fit 38's easy.
my truck has had a "temporary" (until i SAS it) lift for several years now. I pounded the seam and threw on a 1" body lift and 33" tires fit just fine.https://forum.ih8mud.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=234163&d=1212047290

I think ill go with the body lift. Ive got a 2inch bdy lift off a ford will that work if i get the steering bar??
You'll also have to re-locate the radiator, the fuel fill hose needs to be longer, and be careful not to overstretch the brake & clutch lines, as well as all the electrical stuff. The bumpers will look funny too.
Yes, I have a home-brew 1" BL on mine, mostly to make mounting the sliders easier. I started by removing the bottom piece off the shroud, but then I lifted my engine an inch and had Bud bend me up a crossmember that also lifted the tranny an inch. The rest was really easy, no other issues.
do a three inch body lift cause then you can just bend in the front bumper brackets and mount them on two wholes instead of all four. The radiator also can be mounted then out of two wholes that already exist. I did that two my old 88 and it worked but the radiator only being held in buy two screws could cause some problems but it never did for me

um 33's fit fine no body lift, nothin. all you gotta do is crank the t-bars down. and a cheap flexy rear set up would be a set of 63" chevy springs in the rear with custom mounts. then all you gotta get is some shocks for the rear and you can pretty much name your price on that stuff.
I have to say that 33" tires rubbed too much with a mildly cranked t bar and rear springs. It was definitely necessary to trim the rear of the front fenders and the front of the rear fenders along with a trimmed front rocker panel/pounded seam and 1" body lift and 1" rear bump stop extension. This was necessary for 33"/12.5 Goodyear mtr's on 8" rockcrawler rims with 3.75 backspacing. A narrower tire or closer to stock backspacing might tuck in better and require less trimming but might also interfere with the idler arm brace (which if you are running this size tire with ifs in the rocks you need the brace).
