Ok, so the BDS install is finally done, and I picked up four new 33x9.5 tires, as the 30x9.5 tires were way too small. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. The truck sits a bit higher than I envisioned, and the initial ride seems a little stiff. I suspect however, that the springs will settle a little, providing for a smoother ride and a slightly lower stance. The other thing I thought interesting is that the back end seems to sit higher than the front. I suspect this will settle down and will help compensate for any load. Anyone recommend taking a leaf out to soften the back end??

As far as the tire size is concerned, I did notice a difference in relation to when I would shift and the behavior on hills. Not bad, just different. No vibrations to speak of at this point. It looks pretty cool, I guess I'm just used to the sagging back end and not used to it being so high up. I'm going to post a pic today sometime.

Those 33" tires along with 3:70 gearing will do that to your power band. You can always regear later if it sucks too much, I know a lot of guys who have learned to live with it, makes for better highway handling anyways. If you don't tow or haul heavy loads out back then I would prolly drop the bottom leaf.

why did you lift it? you can run 33x9.5 with no lift at all

It will settle with a few weeks of use. Most new spring packs need a bit of time being subjected to the vehicle's weight load to break in and reach their normal ride height. Flexing the suspension over some uneven terrain will also help, just retorque all of the parts afterwards and periodically thereafter. My 2¢ on removing the leaf would be to leave it in there - my guess is that after the suspension settles, you will be much happier with the overall ride. ;)

Congrats on the upgrade....it's a good way to go.
