I'm getting my trailer setup for next weekend and want to know about lighting the plate?

The previous owner just had his plate bolted to the rear and I've seen this done that way on other trailers but wanted to make sure it was OK.

So does the plate need to be eliminated on the trailer?

Rick,

I think that it should go on the front of the trailer, and then you don't need a light for it.
Or just put Mike in the trailer and have him hold a flashlight on the plate.

Definitely Mike in the trailer with the flash light.

I have a plate on my M416 with no light. Heck, most people do even have plates on their trailers, so I wouldn't worry about not having a light.

on my m416 I just threw on a cheap set of trailer lights that have the light already....
